[From WTAF]
In shadows deep, where secrets dwell,
When dusk descends, a tale to tell,
We shed our masks of goodwill and grace,
Embrace the darkness, a different chase.
At nightfall’s call, we transform our guise,
Like creatures, altered, before our own eyes,
No longer bound by daylight’s reign,
We dance into the evening, free from restrain.
Lust, vice, and passion, the order of the time,
Whispered desires, in shadows we climb,
Unveiling our yearnings, in clandestine embrace,
The moon’s alluring glow, our guiding trace.
In this realm obscured, where morals fray,
Our primal instincts, they come to play,
Boundaries blur, morality’s sieve,
As we succumb to the night, and let it deceive.
Yet, as the hourglass trickles away,
The sun ascends, heralding a new day,
Its purifying light, a beacon of grace,
Reviving our virtue, restoring its trace.
For we are but mortals, flawed and frail,
In darkness, we wander, seeking to prevail,
But with the dawn’s arrival, a chance to redeem,
To cast off our shadows, and aspire to gleam.
So heed the night’s wisdom, its eerie allure,
But remember the dawn, and its promise pure,
For in the cycle of dark and light,
We find our balance, our souls ignite.
Different creatures, we become under the moon,
In shades and whispers, we’re forever attuned,
But as morning breaks, our essence shines through,
The human spirit, resilient and true.
