It’s always so piercing to end a year in a way you didn’t think it would end. You can ask me about it.
A lot of us don’t know we tend to pick old responsibilities, lifestyles and lessons from the old year while claiming a “new you”.
So many times, we have fought so hard to do that thing we couldn’t do in the old year. Does that make you a new you even while picking up an old passion.
The WTAF has put together sone responses, this goes with the trend about the authenticity and questions about the importance of new year resolutions. Is it all that compulsory?
You are new all the time, good habits or old passions. The strong will should be never ending, embark on something, something that will give you satisfaction and make you smile every passing minute, every passing hour. You are allowed to be new, everyday.
Here! WTAF:
NEW YEAR, NEW YOU?
If you’re to evaluate yourself from your last year goal and your action steps towards it….. What can you rate yourself out of the rate of 1-10?
Many have big dreams and visions last year but not all was met and to some nothing was met at all.
That shouldn’t bring your energy low this year, rather than doing that, you need to 10x your willpower to become different because this new year simply means new you, new descovery, new beginning, new strategy, new positive thinking, new mindset in all areas of your life this year both your personal and professional life shuning that negative mindset in your mind in order for you to be more productive this year.
If you said you want to do something do yourself a favor by not lying to yourself….. because that’s is the worst thing that individual can ever do.
For you to be different this year set a smart resolution.
S – Specific : Be specific on what you set this year.
M – Measurable : Your goals must be measured
A – Achievable : Let it be Achievable..
R – Realistic / Relevant. : Don’t deceive yourself your goals must be realistic
T – Time bound : Set deadlines monthly or daily for evaluation…by tracking your growth..
Everyone will talk about New year resolution….
The difference between people who talk and people who do it, it’s just one simple word “application”… then they hear it, they don’t just hear it alone they digest it and when they digest it booom? They do something with it!📌
For there are 3 Categorical set of people in life. Those that watch things happen. Those that wonder how things happen and those that makes things happen.
Try to fall in the third category of these set of people and the new year your new self..

NEW YEAR BETTER YOU?
We often make resolutions
as a way of sealing off past mistakes.
A means to forget who we were in the past
so the future will never be at stake.
As opposed to the popular belief,
that it’s a time to start afresh.
The new year is the time to turn a new leaf.
Who’s to say a new year is a new you.
For all things new will surely expire
eventually, the ‘new’ you who you’ve tried to mould and bend will definitely come to an end.
How about a new year, better you.
A new year, an improved you.
For a better you can only progress or even digress,
but will never die out.
A better you, not starting anew, who has past mistakes to learn from.
A better you with enough experience to lead and not tear down a kingdom.
A better you that is capable of making amends rather than breaking bonds.
To escape the outcomes of what’s passed
we invented resolutions,
Forgetting that they are not the solutions,
To the problems that arise from the past.
I’d say a new year isn’t necessarily a new me.
It’s a chance to be a better me,
a me that is a result of everything that she’s been through,
a me that wouldn’t change anything that made her me.
It’s not a time for fresh starts
because the pain of the past is always something that imparts.
It’s a chance to make light of that situation
using each day as its own demonstration.

Hey there👋,
I know you always want to be updated about the things going on.
And don’t want to miss out on any.
Even if you do, you’d likely ask your friends for the gist.
Well since I am your friend let me share this gist with you.
You see, there is a trend that has been going on for a while now.
I bet you must have even heard about it somehow.
You might have even done it before, I am also guilty of this.
The trend?
It’s the evergreen: New year, new resolution and often said as new year, new me.
It is an expression of making new decisions for the new year and letting go of the bad ones along with the previous year.
More like, a way of wanting to live a happier and healthier life in the new year.
Without being said,
I know you want to live a happier and healthier life.
Or don’t you?😏
Obviously, you do.
But I have a question for you.
How well are you planning to make it work?
Have you considered more outside-the-box ideas?
Think about these questions and keep the answers known to yourself.
As Nigerians would say… New year, new me!
A new year shouldn’t necessarily be a new you.
Instead, a chance to be a better you.
There is a Yoruba adage that says…
Ẹni tó bá mọ inú rọ, a mọ ènìyàn.
This means, he who knows himself as knowledge of others.
This adage talks about how self awareness is important in making new decisions or resolutions for the future.
Because understanding yourself is a vital step towards understanding others and moving through new decisions effectively.
I’d leave you with the questions asked earlier and urge you to live your life more smarter and wiser.
Be more passionate!
Be more zealous!
Have a mind of your own!
Try out new things!
And do what’s best for yourself.
Oops…
Not to forget,
When it comes to your happiness.
No gree for anybody!😂
