WTAF: END OF THE YEAR.

A year of discovery for everyone, exploits and pompousness. 
2023 will not be forgotten, many tattoos, many scars and many brands.
A remarkable age, cheers to the ones who turned up.
Ended not exactly, if only 2024 knows what we have planned."

THE OPENING AT THE CLOSE

The year has come to an end,
hence the time to make amend.
To reflect on all that’s been said and done,
even the ones that make us mourn.
There’s been times of great elation,
And others of great desperation.
We’ve laughed and cried, and sometimes sighed.
As the year’s unfolded by our side.
We’ve faced challenges big and small.
Through it all we’ve stood tall;
Time came when we thought we’d drowned.
I’m glad to say we stood our ground.
We’ve learned from what’s come before,
prepared to overcome so much more,
Though the future ahead lies unknown
and that thought alone brings much fear,
we should always look with cheer.
For new beginnings, bright and bold
and adventures yet untold.
The year, heavy with past mistake has come to a close, a new one in its wake.
An era has concluded.
A new one soon to be birthed,
it’s the opening at the close.

2023. What a year!
      January ushered in with joy and jubilation,
      February came with its ferocity,
      March marched in with its madness.

April with its anxiety and anguish,
May strolled in with its magnanimity.
June filled the land with joy.

Jealousy was upon July,
As August showcased its arrogance,
but September brought back the serenity.

Obsession stood over October,
As Nostalgia was the theme of November.
Delight and devotion engulfed December.

2023. What a year!
      With all emotions felt.
      We will remember you,
      Be safe. Thank you, 2023.
