The HEADIES is back!
On the 1st of March, A press conference called THE INTRODUCTION OF THE 15TH HEADIES, held at THE EKO HOTEL OF SUITES VICTORIA AND SLAND LAGOS. The event was well attended by musical artistes, industrial moguls, sponsors and well wishers. Such as; DBANJ, BANKY W, BUJU, KAFFY, BOVI, OKEY BAKASI, DAYO ADENEYE, DEE ONE, KENNY OGUNBE, BABA KEKE, OBI ASIKA, BRODA SHAGGI, YINKA ADEBAYO, STEPHEN IBELLI, DEBOLA WILLIAMS and many more esteems. AYO ANIMASHAUN made the big announcements.

The 15th HEADIES is calling on everyone to join the movement and the rest of Africa to showcase the best of African music to the rest of the world.

From October 2020 to December 2021, this way every submission will stand a chance to be nominated in the 32 Award Categories at NIGERIA’s and AFRICA’s most consistent and prestigious music awards on the world’s entertainment stage. Entries closes on the 8th of April 2022!
To begin the journey of the 15th HEADIES, a music talent hunt is introduced and a star will be discovered through the show that will be called “MIC HUNT” where unseen talents will be through searched for and scrutinized within the 36 states of the country and the standing music act will be crowned winner.

3) Best Afrobeat Pop Album (Nigeria).
4) Best African Collaboration.
5) Best International Collaboration.
6) African Artiste Of The Year.
7) International Artiste Of The Year.
The once 25 categories is now 35.
The winner of the NEXT RATED Category (Nigeria) is receiving a BENTLEY BENTAYGA. (Wande Coal was the first ever NEXT RATED winner!)
