
Industrious photographer and co-owner of the Motive Africa Visual Academy(MAVA) -PRECIOUS ORJI has been diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia and in urgent need of a bone marrow transplantation (BMT).

About Precious Orji:
Precious Fiyinfoluwa Orji hails from Imo state. He is an entrepreneur, a visual artist, a strategic and a prolific life-writer. He is a humanitarian and advocate for youth employment and empowerment. He does this through the Motive Africa Visual Academy which he co-founded in 2021 and organizes free photography workshop in batches. His passion for advocating against unemployment has led him to teach young adults how to tell their stories through photography and goes further to teach them about cinematography, lighting, content creation and entrepreneurship further impacting their lives and giving them a lifelong skill that they have used to shape their future.

What is Aplastic Anaemia?
Aplastic Anaemia is a rare and serious blood disorder characterized by bone marrow failure and insufficient blood cell production. Treatments for this autoimmune disease are immunotherapy, immunosuppressants, blood transfusion and bone marrow transplant.

Precious Orji was admitted as an emergency patient on the 10th of September 2024, and for the past 10 weeks he has been in the hospital. His doctors at the hospital where he is being given medical care finally recommends that he goes for treatments and transplantation in Canada or Australia. This was after a biopsy and series of tests and corrections were carried out.
Presently, treatments like; blood and platelet transfusion, immunotherapy, antibiotics and other medications are being given to him as alternatives at the hospital. However, the notable humanitarian photographer needs to undergo a bone marrow transplantation surgery in order to be able to regain his full health and get back into the studio again.
