Starting this year, I told myself I was going to break my back. I looked at the things I outlined to do and knew I was going to move mad. I put them all in God’s hands and wasn’t going to let anyone tell me they were too much. So far, so good.
Ended last year, with some regret substance like. I hate regrets.
But I knew, I knew there were things I should have jumped on. Things in my resolution. I knew it could be better, and my better could be best. I’m not getting any younger.
God gave me a new quarter, and I’m smiling because I’ve been moving mad and even that hasn’t covered everything. The days of taking a break are there, the days of indecisiveness, days of being carried away, days of shutting down, and days of throwing all up. But, I won’t give up.
God has given yet another quarter, and so far so good.
Here! Writers That Are Friends (WTAF):
I have gone only
a quarter of the mile,
Only a quarter of the
feet across the Nile;
But I’ve forgotten
the sacred ways,
And wandered into
the shadow’s shade.
–
I have fought only
a fraction of the fight,
Only a fraction of the
demons of the night;
Yet I can’t feel my hands;
they are weak.
And my heart is wounded;
it bleeds.
–
It has only been just
a quarter of the year,
Just a quarter of the
burdens to bear;
But I’ve neglected
my dedications,
And forgotten,
my resolutions.
–
I’ve just covered a quarter of the
distance into the journey.
And the road behind
has become blurry.
It’s too early in the
race to back out.
Too early,
to stop.

With each passing year
A new chapter we begin
And now we stand here
Welcoming a new quarter in
The year has been tumultuous
But we’ve come out strong and steady
Now let’s embrace this change with us
And make the most of it, ready
Let’s set new goals for ourselves
And strive towards achieving them
With every challenge that shelves
We’ll rise above and conquer them
This new quarter brings new beginnings
A fresh start to pursue our dreams
Let’s make it full of happy endings
And bask in the glory that gleams
Together we can face anything
With grit, hope, and determination
Let’s welcome this new beginning
With a sense of joy and celebration.
