In today’s article, we will be listing out a few more Nigerian made slangs that often becomes a source of cruise in the nation. What we should know is that, these slangs have their significant meanings. There were either said my a popular figure, meant to be a call to action or used to describe a particular situation. Eg; “Soro Soke”.
The “Soro Soke” slang came to be in the year 2022 during the nationwide #EndSARS Protest, which was a match against police brutality in Nigeria. The slang meant that victims and citizens should speak up against the injustices all around them. This slang gave a significant shape to the purpose of the protest and eventually became the greater benefit and lesson gained from the protest.
Many more slangs are used in day-to-day activities, they are used for cruise and often as a medium of lingua franca. The top 2022-2024 slangs are:
