The prestigious HEADIES AWARD took place on 21st of February 2021,Sunday.
The 14th HEADIES AWARD show was supposed to take place last year December but due to the pandemic and crisis it was postponed and took place on the 21st of February at the ATLANTIS HOTEL.
Hosted by Actress, TV Host, Presenter and Social Media personality- NANCY ISIME along side Actor and Comedian- BOVI.
The Award show started with a Red Carpet event sponsored and crowned by LUSH HAIR NG where we saw many of our celebrities dazzle and speak about their outfits, what they expect from the night, who they would like to win a particular award and many more with MC RELAX, FLORA and Ghanaian Actress RIAH.
The award show was filled with different categories and different personalities to present each award. Personalities like: Comedian BRODA SHAGGI, Actress ENIOLA BADMUS, IYABO OJO, LILIAN AFEGBAI, IDIA AISIEN, Fashion Designer MAI ATAFO, YINKA ADEBAYO, Comedian AYO MAKUN, BIG BROTHER NAIJA stars- KIMOPRAH, VEE, LAYCON.
At the belly of the night we see some Artiste whisk away with awards of the year- FIREBOY was the first to collect and collected the most from best R&B single- TATTOO to best R&B Album- LAUGHTER, TEARS & GOOSEBUMPS, Best Pop for his APOLLO album. And he was made HEADIES REVELATION.BAHD BOY TIMS collected the Rookie of the year award.
SIMI collected Song Writer of the year album for DUDUKE.
Best Rap was given to FALZ THE BAHD GUY for BOP DADDY ft MS.BANKS,
BEST POP SINGLE to DJ NEPTUNE ft JOEBOY & LAYCON- NOBODY.
Best Collaboration was given to LADIPOE ft SIMI for KNOW YOU.
PHEELZ collected the Producer of the year award for BILLIONAIRE- TENI.
BEST RECORDING OF THE YEAR to BRYMO- OZYMADEYAS,
Best Music Video to DIRECTOR K for One Million- DAVIDO.
LYRICIST ON THE ROLL was given to ILL BLISS- Country,
BEST FEMALE VOCAL PERFORMANCE to NINIOLA- ADDICTED.
BEST MALE VOCAL PERFORMANCE to PRAIZ- UNDER THE SKY.
AFRICAN ARTISTE RECOGNITION- Master KG.
BEST RAP ALBUM to AQ for God’s Engineering,
SONG OF THR YEAR to DJ NEPTUNE ft JOEBOY & LAYCON- NOBODY.
MAYORKUN was given the best street song award for the song- GENG.
BEST ALTERNATIVE SONG to MOELOGO- I WONDER,
The best Alternative Album was given to THE CAVEMEN(ROOTS).
The NEXT RATED award was given to OMAH LAY.
WIZKID won the Artiste of the year award and also the HEADIES Viewers Choice award.We also saw YORUBA ACTRESS IYABO OJO win best hair prize- N250,000 and 1year hair Supply from LUSH.
The performances of the night is also a topic to talk about- The show started with a Dance Stage Drama portraying different activities the CORONAVIRUS Pandemic and also the 2020 #ENDSARS protest.

BAHD BOY TIMZ performed.
