She is a part of the UNITED NATIONS HUMAN RIGHT, SOCIAL FORUM 2021 and runs a Foundation called LET’S SAY IT INITIATIVE (LSI_INITIATIVE). And ran a project called PICK THAT PLASTIC AND STAY IN SCHOOL.

Therefore; she contested for the MISS EARTH NIGERIA COMPETITION, MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL IN NIGERIA ANAMBRA (MBGN) pageantry and won. Won the BEST NATIONAL PAGEANT as MISS EARTH and INTERNATIONAL MODEL OF THE YEAR. Not only that, her quest to empower women and to bring enhancement to her advocacy paved way to her being our representative at the MISS UNIVERSE 2021.
She is MISS UNIVERSE NIGERIA 2021 and she took every pride and her ability to represent all NIGERIANS especially women in JERUSALEM, ISRAEL.
She not only wore our country boldly on her chest around the cities of ISRAEL, she also stunned at the preliminary competition, at the national costume show and on the grand finale stage.
She’s won the BEST IN THE NATIONAL COSTUME at the just completed MISS UNIVERSE 2021 as she has broken a record -FIRST AFRICAN to win this and also placing NIGERIA as the FIRST AFRICAN COUNTRY to win the BEST NATIONAL COSTUME at MISS UNIVERSE.
The costume was made up of African beads and crafts. It is inspired by a famous female traditional masquerade –MMANWA from the Southeastern NIGERIA tribe; paying closer to the strength women possesses.
MARISTELLA represented the beautiful MWANWA who fought tirelessly to stop girl child mutilation and child slavery. According to her She picked this costume because it is a self reflection of her quest to protect children and women against any form of abuse and as a message to the strong will of women to attain whatever height they want to.
